• Biketown USA – a project that measures how many people use and continue to use a free bike when supplied

• The O’Heas bikeway linking to Merri Creek Trail. An Australian first that connects thousands of residents to five schools, Coburgs shopping center, rail and tram lines via an off road bikeway

• Recent free bike schemes in Victoria, Western Australia and South Africa

• The Cycle Instead program run in Perth and Shepparton that increased cycling by between 5- and 100% in a two month period with an effective community communication campaign
